Spirit of the Outback Carriage Layout
Train Consist
The Spirit of the Outback consists of eight customer carriages labelled Carriage A through to Carriage G. A is located at the front of the train with Carriage G located at the rear of the train.
Carriage A
Single Sleepers
Carriage A contains 10 Single Sleepers. Sleepers are numbered from 5 to 14, 5 at the front of the carriage and 14 at the rear.
General Carriage Facilities
A unisex toilet and unisex shower are located at the front of the carriage (facing the direction of travel). A drink fountain with filtered water is located at the rear of the carriage.

Travelling with an Assistance Animal
Twin Sleepers 13 and 11 may be booked for customers travelling with an assistance animal.
These Twin Sleepers are located at the rear of the carriage.
If Twin Sleeper 13 is booked, 12 will be held to provide floor space to comfortably accommodate an assistance animal.
If Twin Sleeper 11 is booked, 10 will be held to provide floor space to comfortably accommodate an assistance animal.

Tuckerbox Restaurant

The Tuckerbox Restaurant is located between Twin Sleeper Carriage D and the Shearers Rest carriage.
This dining car provides all-inclusive dining for twin and single sleeper customers with booth-style seating.
The menu includes hearty outback inspired chef prepared meals using some of Queensland’s best produce for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Tuckerbox Restaurant is exclusive to customers travelling in Single or Twin Sleepers.
There are 8 tables in the Tuckerbox Restaurant, each seating 4 customers per table.

Shearers Rest
The Shearers Rest carriage is located between the Tuckerbox Restaurant and Economy Seat Carriage F and is available to customers travelling in Single or Twin Sleepers.
There are 6 tables in the Shearers Rest carriage, each seating up to 4 customers per table. These are available to customers travelling in Single or Twin Sleepers only.
A selection of take away meals, light refreshments, snacks and drinks are available to purchase from the Servery windows in the corridor at the rear of the Shearers Rest carriage. A door halfway down the corridor separates the two Servery windows. Single and Twin Sleeper customers are welcome to purchase from the servery window at the front of the carriage, and Economy seat customers can purchase from the servery window at the rear of the carriage.

Economy Seats
Carriage F contains 36 Economy Seats. Seats are numbered from 1 to 36, 1 at the rear of the carriage and 36 at the front. Seats are a 2 x 1 configuration, with 2 seats on the left of the aisle and 1 seat on the right (facing the direction of travel).
General Carriage Facilities
Two unisex toilets are located at the rear of the carriage.
A unisex shower with a baby change table is located at the front left of the carriage (facing the direction of travel).
There is overhead storage available for hand luggage throughout the carriage. A drink fountain with filtered water is located at the front of the carriage. Luggage racks are located outside the entry door to the seating area and are available for carry-on items and a checked luggage service is also available.

Carriage G contains 48 Economy Seats.
Seats are numbered from 1 to 48, 1 at the rear of the carriage and 48 at the front.
Seats are a 2 x 2 configuration, with 2 seats on the left of the aisle and 2 seats on the right.
General Carriage Facilities
Two toilets are located at the rear of the carriage. Male toilet on the left and female toilet on the right (facing the direction of travel).
A unisex shower with a baby change table is located at the front left of the carriage (facing the direction of travel).
There is overhead storage available for hand luggage throughout the carriage. A drink fountain with filtered water is located at the front of the carriage. Luggage racks are located outside the entry door to the seating area and are available for carry-on items and a checked luggage service is also available.
