Reduced timetable due to union protected industrial action
From Monday 1 June, a reduced regional timetable will be in place until further notice, due to union protected industrial action.

Regional rail services staged return to full timetable
Long distance travel services will increase from Friday, 3 July in a staged return to full timetable, with most services to be running from Monday 13 July.
Spirit of Queensland
| From Friday 3 July 2026:
- 2 full return rail services per week Brisbane to Cairns
- Northbound departs Brisbane, Wednesday 3:45pm
- Southbound departs Cairns, Friday 7:40am
- Northbound departs Brisbane, Friday 3:45pm
- Southbound departs Cairns, Sunday 7:40am
From Monday 13 July 2026:
- Operating as per usual timetable (4 return services per week)

| Operating per timetable with modified service – 1 x full return train service and 1 x return hybrid service:
- 1 full train return service: Tuesday depart Brisbane, Thursday depart Longreach
- 1 hybrid return service (train/road coach): Saturday depart Brisbane to Rockhampton on alternate train service (the Tilt Train), replacement coach Rockhampton to Longreach. Monday departure from Longreach offers coach to Rockhampton then Tilt Train to Brisbane

- Westbound Greyhound service departs Tuesday 7:00am / 2:00pm
- Eastbound Greyhound service departs Wednesday 6:45am / 11:15pm
